Once again, in the 2021 Corporate Income Tax, a new box was set up to allocate 0.7% of the total tax payable to social purposes: the “Solidarity Company” box. Famadesa, together with the rest of the companies that make up its business group, has contributed a total amount of \u20ac17,142.95, destined to finance projects of social interest.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to the Third Sector Platform, based on estimates by the Ministry of Finance for this year, if all the companies that file this tax had ticked this box, 186 million euros could have been raised to finance projects of social interest.<\/p>\n

The Empresa Solidaria box has been in place since 2018, when the amount collected at national level exceeded \u20ac24m, an amount that has been increasing every year, reaching a total of \u20ac33m and \u20ac36.6m in the tax returns for 2019 and 2020, respectively.<\/p>\n

However, there are still few companies that make this simple decision, despite the great impact it can have on both society and the business fabric. It is an opportunity for companies to become directly involved in egalitarian and inclusive social reconstruction.<\/p>\n

By simply ticking, voluntarily and free of charge, the Solidarity Company box on the corporate tax return, sustainable investment is encouraged and the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations 2030 Agenda (SDGs) are promoted.<\/p>\n

The funds collected through the Company Solidarity Box are used to finance social and environmental projects, developed by third sector organisations, considered to be of general interest. These projects are used to fight poverty, social exclusion and inequality.<\/p>\n
