25 Mar FAMADESA INCREASES INVESTMENT TO 30M TO EXPAND FACILITIES
The Malaga-based meat company Famadesa (Fábrica, Matadero y Despiece) has decided to increase the investment budget for the expansion project of its facilities, which it is currently undertaking in Campanillas (Malaga), to €30 million. The initial plan was for €24m as estimated at the start of the project two years ago.
The company has introduced some changes which have made it necessary to make this €6m contribution, mainly relating to the acquisition of 110,000 m2 of adjacent land and the inclusion in the plans of the construction of a new wastewater treatment plant. In addition, a high-voltage power line passing through the site is being buried, which is delaying the works. In principle, this extension project was to have been completed in 2020-21, but the forecast for its completion is now being pushed to the end of 2022 due to the aforementioned delay.
